Draw Near - Prayerنموونە

Prayer is having a conversation just like you would have with a friend, but you get to talk with God, the creator of the universe! If we didn’t spend time with our friends, how would we get to know them better? It’s the same with God. By praying, we build our relationship with Him.

This Bible tells us that we can be close to God and get to know Him more. When we pray and spend time with Him, He comes close to us. Prayer isn’t just a one-way conversation.

Have you had a friend that does all the talking and you can barely get a word in? A good conversation is some talking and some listening. Prayer is talking to God AND listening to Him. God speaks to us when we pray. And the more we draw near to Him, the more we will learn to listen and hear His voice. We may not hear God’s voice out aloud when we pray, but we can hear within our minds, His spirit within us, speaking to us.

It’s important that we take time to talk to God, listen to Him and get to know Him. When you choose to draw near to God, He will draw near to you!
