Day 4: Practise Peaceful Choices
What if your weight loss journey were peaceful instead of stressful?
The world tells us results come from striving, obsessing, or hustling.
God offers us something different. He gifts us with His perfect peace. Here are some examples of what this might look like:
- Peace in the middle of a weight loss plateau
- Peace in front of a tempting dessert.
- Peace when you look in the mirror.
God’s peace comes not from controlling every bite but from keeping your mind on Him. When you focus on God, you make choices from a calm place of peace. Let go of your focus on calories or cravings and instead turn your eyes to Jesus.
Let’s start practising peaceful food choices today - choices that aren’t made out of panic or punishment, but from the knowledge that God is in control.
Take a walk, stretch, or breathe deeply. As you move, repeat Isaiah 26:3. Let it soak in. You’re not behind, and you’re not stuck. God has a plan for your life, including your body and weight.
