Appointed Characteristics

So what does a person appointed by God look, sound, and act like? He or she is going to have many different characteristics described clearly in Scripture that the other appointed children will see and feel in their presence (and many others will notice who do not belong to God, also).

He or she will be full of:

• LOVE
• Mercy
• Graciousness
• Tenderheartedness
• Meekness
• The Fruit of The Spirit
• Forgiveness
• Humility
• A Teachable Spirit
• God's Word
• Gratitude/Thankfulness
• Integrity & Authenticity
• Generosity
• Prayer
• Anointing

I could go on, but you probably are getting the idea. So, one who is "not" appointed? You will see him or her being:

• Greedy
• Selfish
• Impatient
• Short-tempered
• Hateful
• Haughty
• Intentionally mean
• A Know-It-All
• Unteachable
• Argumentative
• Not knowledgeable of God's Word
• Dark Spirited

These are just "some" of the characteristics of the differences between being appointed and being without a relationship with God.

When you read these characteristics, did you feel you had any or many identifying aspects in one particular list? Do you recognize where you can work on some of these elements to become a better steward of God's gifts?

God WANTS to use your spiritual gifts within your earthly assignment. He wants you to understand what your specific one (s) are, how to use them, how to fully understand them, and that the Holy Spirit is the guiding force for each and every one of them.

PRAYER:

Father, show me which list I am most akin to and help me change for the better with Your refining fire. Create in me a clean heart, and renew a right spirit within me, that I may better do Your will. May my life reflect Your characteristics, Your love, mercy, and grace, so that more people will come to know You because of Your work in me. Let others see that I AM "appointed" by You and an ambassador for Christ. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
