Have you ever said, “No!” to something you really, really wanted to say, “Yes!” to? Maybe it was a party you decided not to attend. Maybe it was the temptation to cheat on a test. Or maybe it was going on that date with that girl. 

At the time, saying “No!” was probably a really tough decision to make. But the good news is that we can be confident that every time we say, “No!” to something like that in the short term, we are really saying, “Yes!” to God’s best for us in the long run. And God promises that every single, “Yes!” said in obedience to Him will never, ever be useless or wasted. 

Is there a decision tempting you to say “Yes!” when you know you should say, “No!” right now? Ask God for the strength to make the right choice.
