Hearing the Voice of God

There are three parts to us human beings: body, soul and spirit. Remember that your spirit has been renewed, but not your soul and body. God is a spirit being and we must learn to master the spiritual life.

Some of the ways in which God speaks:

• Through His Word (2 Timothy 3:16)
• Through the still small voice of the Holy Spirit (1 Kings 19:12; Acts 11:12)
• Through visions (Acts 10:9-11, 17)
• Through the counsel of other believers (Proverbs 12:15)
• Through dreams (Matthew 1:20-21)
• Through the gifts of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 12:4-7, 11)
• Through circumstances (Acts 27)
• Through the audible voice of God (Acts 9:4)
