Walking With JesusSample
The Body of Christ
We are all members of the Body and there is a place for each one of us. The Body is disabled if some of its members are missing. For this reason both you and I are needed. God has gifted each one differently, and we should not compare ourselves with others. It is important that you find your place and fulfil your function in the Body of Christ.
Once we find our place in the Body, we should work together with the rest of the Body according to the instructions we received from the Head. No one is greater than anyone else in the Body of Christ.
We need to make a firm decision to move towards one another in the love and forgiveness of Christ. Remember that we must never be issue-driven, but rather relationship-driven.
Reflection questions (write your answers in a journal):
- What is needed on order for us to grow and flourish in God's house?
- Mark the areas in which you think you are gifted:
- Serving
- Showing mercy (compassion)
- Leadership (administration or ruling)
- Giving
- Motivation / encouragement / exhortation
- Teaching
- Discernment / Prophecy
- How should the different parts of the Body treat one another?
Action:
Think of two other Christians that you do not particularly like or who have offended you. Find a way to serve and reconcile with them.
