Walking With JesusSample

The Greatness of God
We cannot comprehend how big God is only by looking in the natural. Scripture says that God sustains everything in the universe through His Word.
God is sovereign - this means that:
- God is the ruler of everything and everyone
- God does not need man’s advice
- God does not need to give an account to anyone or anything, except for His own Word
- God does not need man to accomplish His purpose
- God can do whatever He wants
- God’s ways are higher than our ways, He is not limited like we are
God is omniscient - this means that God knows everything. There is nothing we can hide from Him. Scripture even says He knows the number of hairs we have on our head. Do you know how many hairs you have on your head?
God is omnipotent - this means that God is all-powerful. There is nothing that our God cannot do. God is in control and He upholds the whole universe by His Word.
God is omnipresent. He is not limited to the earthly dimensions of time and space as we are. He is everywhere at the same time and is not bound by human and natural circumstances.
Psalms 19:1 also teaches that God is revealed through nature.
Action:
Take some time and think about how big the universe is. Read Isaiah 40:12 and meditate on it.
