River Valley Church SOAP - Part 2Sample

Coming from the Greek meaning ‘Second Law’, Deuteronomy is Moses’ farewell messages to Israel. In this book, we see Moses address the new generation of Israelites to challenge, instruct and encourage them in God’s power and promises, their covenant obligations and the need to maintain reverence to God. Moses begins the narrative reminding the people of their disobedience to the Lord, but also the mercy shown when Israel repented. A major theme of Deuteronomy emerges regarding trust in the Lord and His timing.
