River Valley Church SOAP - Part 2Sample

Israel had a natural tendency to fear the consequences of defeat, rather than focus on the Lord’s provision in battle. Time and time again, we see proof that only by looking to God would they find victory. We are introduced to the fate of Moses and the commission on Joshua’s life to lead the people further. The writings shift slightly from remembrance of events and promises to commands God has laid out for the Israelites. The Israelites are instructed to always acknowledge the Lord, His decrees and His laws.
