River Valley Church SOAP - Part 11Sample
A plot to kill Paul is devised and we see Paul’s emotion and nervousness about what will happen to him. God appears to him in this critical time to encourage and assure him. The Bible records that the Lord appears to Paul to assure him three times. Years go by and Paul is still imprisoned, this time under the watchful eye of Felix, the governor of Caesarea. As Paul shares his faith, Felix becomes fearful. This relates to Jesus’ words that the Holy Spirit will “convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgement” (John 16:8). Again, Luke reveals the Holy Spirit’s central role in the church’s life and mission, something we can hold tight to today.
Mongolia is a land where many Shamanistic and animistic traditions have remained at large in the culture. Let's pray that the people would be freed from these principalities and occult practices in Jesus' name.
