Parents and Kids Daily Devotional "A Place of Power"Sample
Do you know who the world’s strongest man is? According to the media, Tom Stoltman from Scotland won the World’s Strongest Man Competition in 2021.
The competition required him to lift a 210 kg rock without any equipment help, which he did successfully. Wow! Imagine if you had to do that. Lift a 210 kg rock! Would it be possible?
Imagine if you possessed Tom Stoltman’s strength, you wouldn’t have to fear anything in life, or would you? I believe that even the world’s strongest man - Tom Stoltman - has fears, worries, and struggles.
No matter how strong we are, we can’t bear all life’s struggles on our own. We need God. Only God, who has unlimited power, can help us with everything going on in our lives.
Only as we walk with our powerful God will we ever feel secure and confident that we can do all things through Him, who gives me strength.
Devotion for Parents
What is your biggest struggle at the moment? Do you feel weary and about to give up? Remember that with God, we can do all things. Come back to Him and surrender your struggles into His hands. Let Him give you rest.
Devotion for Kids
We don’t have to be the world’s strongest man to be strong and courageous enough to face problems in our lives. We only need God. He is all-powerful. And as we walk with Him, He can help us in all things.
Family Devotion Time
Prepare a few items in your house that have different masses.
Ask a family member with the lowest weight to open his/her hands and then put the items in their hands one at a time.
When he/she feels that the items are beginning to feel too heavy, ask another family member (whom you think is the strongest) to help hold the items while you keep adding the rest of the items.
The game’s goal is to explain that, as humans, we have limited strength. We can’t bear all our struggles alone. We need God to help us and enable us to handle them.

About this Plan
Power! A thing that is desired by all humans, even though human power is limited. On the other hand, our God, who is the source of all power, is eager to pour out His power for all of us. The question is, how do we receive it? This devotional will invite all of us, both parents and children, to understand how to activate God's power in our lives.
