Parents and Kids Daily Devotional "A Place of Power"Sample
A soldier will quickly stand straight every time his/her commanding officer is ordering him/her. They won’t delay or hesitate even when exhausted or in pain.
Similarly, sometimes we feel tired or in pain as we follow God. For example, when someone mocks you for sharing about the goodness of God or when you minister.
The verse today commands us to stand firm, let nothing move us, and always give ourselves fully to the work of the Lord. What is the “work of the Lord”? It is everything that pleases God, and it also talks about sharing with others about God.
When we get tired or hurt as we minister, remember the armors of God that prepare us for every situation. Hold on to the promise of God, have faith, and live in the Truth. Remember that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.
Devotion for Parents
Are you currently involved in a ministry? Do you ever feel tired serving God? Share with your children what you do when you feel tired and how you get back up.
If you are not currently in ministry, you can share your experience of bouncing back from a failure.
Devotion for Kids
What are the works of God that we can do as kids? Have you done any?
If not, would you like to serve God with what you have and learn to diligently do the work of God even when you are tired?
Family Devotion Time
Have a game night with your family.
Ask everyone to stand on one foot and see who stands firmly the longest. The winner gets a reward that has been agreed on. End with a prayer and remind each other that God will strengthen each of you in every circumstance.
Keep doing the work of God.

About this Plan
Power! A thing that is desired by all humans, even though human power is limited. On the other hand, our God, who is the source of all power, is eager to pour out His power for all of us. The question is, how do we receive it? This devotional will invite all of us, both parents and children, to understand how to activate God's power in our lives.
