Parents and Kids Daily Devotional "A Place of Power"Sample
My dad has one answer for every problem. His answer is “just pray.” I once asked him if he had any other responses besides “just pray.” Will praying solve all of our problems? My dad answered with a smile, “Do it, and you’ll prove that it’s true.”
Today, decades later, I can confidently say that praying indeed solves my every problem. Yes, I need to take action to tackle my problems, but prayer is my first reaction.
Prayer gives me wisdom, strength, healing, and restoration. It refreshes my soul. It provides everything I need to overcome challenges. Prayer helps me always to believe that God will never leave me. Without me realizing it, prayer changes my heart and the way I think so I can see my problems from a different point of view.
Have I ever gotten bored with praying? Of course, I have. Especially when the answers to my prayers took a long time to come, but today’s verse strengthens me that if we believe, then we will receive WHATEVER we ask for in prayer.
My prayer for you, who are reading this devotional, is that you will experience the power of prayer in your life.
