Parents and Kids Daily Devotional "A Place of Power"Sample
Elkanah son of Jeroham had two wives: Hannah and Peninnah. Peninnah had children, but Hannah had none. Peninnah kept provoking Hannah to irritate her for being unable to have a child. Every year, Elkanah and his family went to the house of the Lord in Shiloh to offer sacrifices. There, Hannah would pray to God and weep. Her prayer was for God to give her a son, and she promised to give him to the Lord when that happened.
As Hannah kept praying to the Lord, Eli the priest approached her, and after he knew her heart’s desire, he said, “Go in peace, and may the God of Israel grant you what you have asked of Him.” Not long after, she conceived a child and gave birth to a son, whom she believed to be the answer to her prayers. She named him Samuel. She prayed unceasingly for him, and God answered her prayers.
Something similar happened to me. Several public schools around my neighborhood did not have teachers who could teach religious studies in Christianity. I desired to serve the students in these schools, praying to God about it. I asked for a Godly generation and a breakthrough in schools.
By the grace of God, I received the answer to my prayers. I was allowed to be a volunteer to teach religious studies in Christianity in public elementary schools. I started volunteering in three public elementary schools with around 40 students. In 2022, I was entrusted with teaching in eight public elementary schools.
Wow, isn’t God amazing?! God granted me the desires of my heart. What is your prayer today? Remember, ask, and you shall receive.
