Parents and Kids Daily Devotional "Look at "UsSample
Starting in June of last year, I was determined to lead a healthier lifestyle by not continuing to take medicine to lower my LDL levels. After consulting with a nutrition specialist, I was given a list of food that I needed to avoid for a month. The list included any food containing sugar, flour, and dairy.
I was fully committed to following through with the doctor’s recommendation because I wanted to see a change in myself. I wanted to be healthier. Was it difficult? Very! Did I want to give up? Definitely. Did I face any temptation? Don’t even ask.
The one thing that kept me going and finally led me to succed was my desire to experience a change for the better. A change requires commitment, effort, and a disciplined mind, which means a new way of thinking and a a different attitude.
Similarly, if we desire to see a change in our spiritual lives, in our personal relationships with God, we need to start by the renewing of our mind, our heart and the way we think. Everything else will follow. Be persistent. Press on. Do not give up. You will get there!
Devotion for Parents
1.Share your experiences of starting a change in your life. What was the change that you wanted? Did you succeed in making that change?
2.How do you respond to failure in the effort to make changes?
Devotion for Kids
1.What does change mean to you? Do you like changes?
2.What was the hardest change that you had to make? How did you adapt to the change you made?
Family Devotion Time
Discuss with your family the changes that each of you needs. Don’t get offended, but listen to input with an open heart and mind. Then make a commitment to change together, to become a better version of yourselves.

About this Plan
As God's children, we are a reflection of who He is and the various characters He has. During this month we will look at the principles together and how to be the light in our lives.
