Plot TwistSample
How long have you held a grudge against someone? Do you think the length of time you held the grudge against that person was justified for what they did to hurt you? For example, if a person refused to invite you to a party they hosted, did you ignore them for a week to make them feel the pain you felt? That’s why we might hold a grudge against someone — we want that person to feel the same pain and hurt we felt.
One of the incredible things about Jesus is that he lived as fully human and fully God. He knows the pain and hurt that other people can cause, but he doesn’t hold grudges. He doesn’t even hold a grudge against us when we mess up and make mistakes. In fact, instead of pushing us away, Jesus holds us close and invites us in. Jesus doesn’t hold a grudge — he holds us close.
Take a moment to think about someone you've held a grudge against before. Pray for that person today and ask Jesus to help you let go of that grudge.

About this Plan
Whether it’s your favorite movie, book, or reality show, you know there's nothing like a good plot twist! A plot twist can make us rethink everything we thought we knew about the story. In this 30-day devotional series from Grow Curriculum, designed for Lent we’ll focus on how Jesus experienced “life-plot twists” and how he is with us when we go through unexpected moments in our life.
