Juggling Life

DAY 10 OF 10

The Perfect Prescription

Did you know the Word of God has the perfect prescription for being a perfect person? James 3:2 (NIV) says, “We all stumble in many ways. Anyone who is never at fault in what they say is perfect, able to keep their whole body in check.”

Don't you love the absolute truth of God's Word that His Word is a "perfect prescription" for anything and everything that ails you to be taken daily and as directed?

The tongue is such a small part of our body. Yet it steers our life like a horse’s bit or the rudder of a ship. Then Proverbs 18 confirms this with incredible insight “What you say can preserve life or destroy it; so you must accept the consequences of your words.” It's imperative to realize that your words bring life or death, so ask yourself, “What are you saying?"

James 3 says, “Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers and sisters, this should not be.” Yet, the sad truth is that for many Christians, one day, they're praising, and when circumstances change, the cursing begins.

Like juggling balls that go up and down, the tongue can lift up and then tear down. One moment something edifying, and the next, someone’s lying. With our words, we’re creating or destroying, and it’s all done with the tongue!

So how do you transform your tongue? The only way is to transform your mind! Romans 12:2 (NLT) Says, “Let (it’s your choice) God transform you (like the beautiful metamorphosis of a butterfly) into a new person by changing the way you think.”

When Jesus said in Luke 6:28 (NIV) to “bless those who curse you, and pray for those who mistreat you.” His instruction isn't just for the benefit of those you bless and pray for; it’s just as much for you and your increase!

When you put something new in you, something new emerges. Jesus said it like this "out of the abundance of what you've put in you, there’ll be a river of it flowing out of you.”

Reflection: No prescription you’ve ever been given would have worked for you if you hadn’t put it in you. It’s no different with the healing prescriptions of God’s word, put it in you and then let it do what the Father designed it to do! Think of it like this, every day, you should be digesting the “Gos-pill” (Gospel)

Day 9

About this Plan

Juggling Life

Juggling Life: Trusting in your ability to handle one or more challenges simultaneously. We all have challenges in our lives that we juggle. We juggle tasks, responsibilities, choices, etc. When you juggle something, it’s in your hands and out of the Father’s hands. This 10-day devotional teaches you how to let go and let God bring balance and order to your juggling life.
