Big, Bigger, Biggest!

[In Heaven] …Christ rules over all forces, authorities, powers, and rulers. He rules over all beings in this world and will rule in the future world as well.

Ephesians 1:21 (CEV)

When the lights go off at night, do you feel afraid? Do you worry about bad guys or monsters? Do you hate being alone?

The old VeggieTales song goes:

God is bigger than the boogie man

He’s bigger than Godzilla or the monsters on TV

God is bigger than the boogie man

And he’s watching out for you and me

It’s a great song, and we can see from today’s Bible verse, it’s true! God is bigger and stronger and smarter than any bad thing. He rules over everything!

So, when you are scared, at night or anytime, think about how powerful Jesus is and his huge love for you. When you are afraid it helps to pray to God, think about all the good things he does, and even sing a little song.

Jesus Christ rules over the entire world! Trust him today with your fears and worries. He cares about you and is with you always. Keep thinking about your big, powerful God!

Go find the biggest tree you can. Can you put your arms around it? Can you see the top when you are standing under it? God made the trees, so imagine how much bigger he is!
