A Child's Guide To: God's Big LoveSample
God of the Future
We may make a lot of plans, but the Lord will do what he has decided.
Proverbs 19:21 (CEV)
Can we tell God what to do? Is he like a genie or a fairy godmother following you around to grant your wishes? Is he just waiting for you to decide what you want to do?
Nope.
God knows everything! He knows the future. He knows what is good for us and for the whole world. He knows the best things for you today and when you grow up.
A lot of times, the things we think we want are not what is best for us. Maybe you want a mountain of candy, but God knows it will make you sick. Maybe you want to hurt someone you are mad at, but God knows if you forgive them you can be best friends again.
Put your trust in your God—the one who knows everything. He has big plans for you and knows what is best for you. You can trust his plans are better than you can even imagine!
HERO TRAINING
Did you know that God already knows what you will be when you grow up? If you could choose right now, what do you want to do for a job when you are older? Draw a picture of what you want to be and the tools you will need to do that job.
GOD'S WONDERFUL WORLD
Many spiders spin a web to catch their next meal! God gives them what they need to do their job.
