God's promises are unwavering. He doesn't make a promise one day and then change His mind the next day. When we believe and understand this principle, it becomes possible to trust in the promises of God despite what we see. This is called the faithfulness of God. Have you ever made a promise you didn't keep? Has someone ever made a promise to you, and they didn't follow through? If so, you understand the disappointment and shame that happens when promises are broken.

As a part of the human race, broken promises are a part of the "sin" package. Once sin entered the picture through Adam and Eve, humankind was exposed to every type of negative possibility under the sun. Broken promises indicate that there is something in our nature that is not in alignment. Of course, emergencies, delays, and other things can get in the way of us fulfilling our promises. I'm not talking about those types of events. I'm talking about the sorts of broken promises that are in your control.

Our Father, God, is perfect; He does not break promises or make empty ones. His heart for you is that you would live a healed, abundant life so that you can fulfil every promise He has for you. His will is that you receive these promises in the timing He has ordained. Healing is yours; all you have to do is believe.

Today, believe in the fulfillment of His promises, and may your "Amen" bring glory to His name.

Lord, I believe in Your promises, and I say "Amen" to Your will in my life. May Your faithfulness shine through my trust in You. In Christ, amen.
