Faith is the foundation of your relationship with God and a source of resilience. In Christ, you literally believe in someone you cannot see, which is the definition of faith. Exercising your faith in God will cause you to become more resilient. Therefore, you will have the ability to bounce back from adversity. Belief in God is your ability to know beyond the shadow of a doubt that He does exist. Belief brings confidence as you build on your relationship with Him through Christ with the help of the Holy Spirit. You need all three persons (The Trinity) to have a complete relationship with God.

As we use our faith, it begins to increase and strengthen over time. This is why we often experience challenges in life to stretch our faith. It is impossible to grow in an area where you aren’t challenged. Just like Peter walking on the water, he had to get out of the boat and be willing to trust that Jesus would help him. It is no different with us. As we navigate life, there will be burdens that we have to lay down to walk with God. Our faith in these moments will bring us to crossroads where we must ask, “Am I willing to walk on water for this breakthrough?” Giving God our “yes” allows him to demonstrate that our faith is authentic and genuine. The reward of walking in faith is a life beyond our dreams, one filled with hope, healing, and the fruit of resilience. Have confidence in the unseen and hold fast to your hope.

Prayer:

Lord, strengthen my faith and fill me with confidence in Your will for my life. May I walk in faith, trusting in You to bring to pass the desires of my heart, knowing that those desires come from You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
