Peace in the StormSample

His Power Works in Us
Paul ends his prayer for the Ephesian church with a doxology — a praise break. He’s basically saying: “Whatever you think God can do, go ahead and multiply that by infinity, because He’s able to do immeasurably more.”
This verse reminds us that God is not limited by our prayers, our dreams, or our imagination. Sometimes we pray too small because we’re afraid to be disappointed. But Paul is reminding us that God’s capacity far outweighs our requests. He doesn’t just meet needs — He exceeds them.
And here’s the kicker: it’s according to His power at work in us. That means the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead is already active in you. You’re not waiting on God to drop something from heaven; His power is already working inside your life.
This verse calls us to trust that God’s ability is greater than our limits, our past, and even our best expectations. God doesn’t just work outside of us—He works within us. His power is not limited to what we can see. He is able to do far beyond what we dream, but it starts with His Spirit working inside.
I’ve prayed for things I thought were big, but God outdid them. Like truly blew my mind with what he did with my plans. And often, the “immeasurably more” came through Him growing me first. His power reshaped me before it reshaped my circumstances. God knew He had to prepare me FIRST so I would not fumble what He had called me to.
Don’t shrink your prayers to fit your comfort zone — pray big, bold prayers. Remember that His “more” isn’t always about material things; it’s about eternal impact. Dream bigger today. Write one bold prayer that feels impossible and trust His power to go beyond it. His power is not just around you but actively working in you.
