Peace in the Storm

DAY 30 OF 30

God Makes All Things New

This verse gives us a glimpse of God’s ultimate promise. John is seeing a vision of the new heaven and new earth, and right in the middle of it, God Himself speaks: “I am making everything new!”

Notice He doesn’t say “I made things new one time” or “I might make things new later.” He says “I am making…” That’s present, active, ongoing. God is always in the business of renewal. The places in your life that feel broken, wasted, or finished are the very places He speaks over: “I am making this new.”

And to seal it, He says: “Write it down.” In other words, this isn’t wishful thinking — it’s guaranteed. His words are trustworthy and true. When God says new, He means restoration, transformation, and completion in Christ.

The end of the story for believers is not defeat—it’s renewal. God is making all things new: hearts, situations, and ultimately creation itself. That means no loss, no pain, no trial has the final word.

I’ve watched God close chapters I mourned, only to write better ones than I imagined. His “new” always carried more purpose, more beauty, more hope. I've learned to just embrace whatever God does in my life and know that God will always do what is best for me and His will for my life.

Trust that God is not finished — He’s still making things new in your life. Don’t cling so tightly to the old that you can’t embrace His new. Step into tomorrow with hope. Pray: “Lord, make me new today.” Believe that He is making everything in your life align with His promise of renewal. Anchor your hope in His promise: what He speaks is trustworthy and true.
