Thy Son Liveth: Miracles Still HappenExemplo
Just Do It
Grand opening - the first public miracle of Jesus’ ministry.
The miracle was so impressive and innovative it got the attention of the master of the feast. He pulls aside the bridegroom to compliment him for thinking differently and closing out the festivities with the best wine, and not the cheapest. Yet that’s not the interaction that we should focus on. Verses 3-5 show us that Jesus wasn’t at the wedding with the intent to perform a miracle. Jesus, feeling the “mom-stare” from the seat next to him, responds [in modern terms] “c’mon ma, I’m not here for this and this has nothing to do with me.” In true motherly love and fashion, she ignores Jesus. Not talking to the disciples, nor talking with Jesus, Mary looks to the servants of the wedding and says, “Whatever He says to you, do it.”
Meditate on these nuggets today. Obedience is a game-changer. A personal miracle affects everyone connected to you (directly and indirectly) Lastly, there’s no prerequisite for God to move on your behalf—God is interested in even the smallest details of your life.

God is still in the miracle business and miracles are a part of the Kingdom experience. I love miracles and believe that God wants to do exceedingly abundantly in our lives for His namesake. Miracles also occur to encourage faith in nonbelievers. In this 7-day plan I compiled a list of some of the miracles I found in the book of John. Read and be encouraged - miracles still happen.
