Parents and Kids Daily Devotional "First Things First"Exemplo
Do you remember the story of Solomon who asked God for wisdom? Solomon knew that without wisdom, he wouldn’t be able to lead a nation as big as Israel. He would fail and many people would suffer because of it. That’s why he came to God, who is the source of all wisdom so that he could be a good leader for his people.
Similarly, we need wisdom, whether as parents or children. We need wisdom when we are faced with many options. We need wisdom to make a decision. We need wisdom so that we don’t go astray.
Come to God and ask for wisdom. Don’t look for wisdom in any other place. Seek and ask from the Source.
Devotion for Parents
As parents, there are a lot of decision-making moments. It would be unwise for us to rely on our strength and mind. We need God to make wise decisions.
The Bible is a source of wisdom. Make sure that the Bible is the go-to book that you read and meditate upon every day. The Bible should be the first book you open when a problem comes. Don’t just read it but understand it and practice what it says.
Devotion for Kids
It is good to be smart, but being wise is even better. Wisdom is not just intelligence. A wise person knows when to speak, when to stay quiet, when to listen, and when to voice out an opinion.
Wisdom will help us overcome many problems in life. Who can give us wisdom? Only God can. So make sure you ask for wisdom in your prayers and read the Bible every day.
Family Devotion Time
Read riddles with your family.
If someone guesses correctly, he/she will get a point.
If someone guesses wrongly, a point will be deducted.
The winner is the one who has the most points and he/she can decide on the next family activity.
It takes knowledge and skill to guess a riddle.
It takes wisdom to live our lives well.
