Parents and Kids Daily Devotional "This Is Living"

Dia 7 de 30

Have you ever been confused about what is true? We may be looking at the same situation but have different opinions. One action, some say you can’t do that, some say it’s okay. So, which one is right?

Oftentimes, people understand the truth based on their own opinions. Even when it is not the real Truth.

The only unshakeable Truth is the Word of God. When you are confused or in doubt, go back to the Bible. See what God has to say and that’s where you find the Truth.

Does the Bible contain all the answers to our questions about the Truth? Yes! The Bible IS the Source of Truth. What should we do to really understand what is right and not be confused when we hear different opinions on a certain issue? Read, meditate, remember, and continue to live in the Word of God. It is the only source that we can rely on.

Devotion for Parents
It is very important to read the Bible every day. This devotion may help us as a family, but individually, especially with our role as parents, we still need to fill ourselves with the Word of God.

Make a commitment to read the Bible consistently every day. Let the Word of God be planted in your life so that you can know the real Truth and be able to live in it.

Devotion for Kids
We need to read the Bible on a daily basis, consistently. Even now when you are little. Doing the devotions with your parents is already a very good start. You can add on by reading the Bible personally every day.

Make a commitment to do that. You can read 1 verse, 1 chapter, or 1 story per day. Do it consistently and wholeheartedly. I believe when you do it, you will come to understand the real Truth.

Family Devotion Time
Play a Bible-related game. For example,

  1. Looking for an item around the house that is related to a verse.
Read a verse and give clues.
Let's say, Luke 21:18 (NLT), word number 4. (The word is “hair”.)
  2. Guess a character from the Bible.
  3. Find a verse in the Bible.

Etc.

The goal is to show that reading the Bible can be fun.

Challenge everyone in the family to read the Bible every day.

Parents and Kids Daily Devotional "This Is Living"

After we accept Jesus as God and Savior, our lives will change and our character will be renewed to become more and more like Him every day. What kind of life should followers of Christ have? What values do we need to hold? During this month we will invite the children to learn about this and teach them the values of truth that they should have in their lives.
