Such a killjoy!

The devil is such a killjoy! If you allow him to be...

The fact that he'll always try to wreck everything for you must definitely be clear by now. But like we talked about yesterday, he's powerless to win without our permission!

It was one of those days—somehow, I woke up already feeling tired, and from then on, nothing went as planned. You've probably had days like this, too, right? Perhaps today is one of those days…if so, I'd like to share a valuable tip with you! :-)

That day, I hadn't wanted to just wait for a new day to dawn. No, I firmly believe that a "bad" day can still become a "good" day…that very same day! A day that starts badly has even more potential to become a surprisingly good day!

So, I turned up the worship music and started singing at the top of my lungs: "Hallelujah, even here! Hallelujah, when the storm is relentless…in the middle of the questioning, over every worry, every fear, hallelujah, even here!"

After this battle cry, the next song started: "...again and again, You run towards me; You have chosen me!"

And that is what you need to know! God has chosen YOU! Maybe right now, it seems like the devil has chosen to take out all his frustrations on you. But he has already lost the battle against God! And whose child are you? That's right: you're a child of God! :-) And He says to you:

"'...I have chosen you and have not cast you away: fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.'" (Isaiah 41:9-10, NKJV)

Don't let the killjoy that the devil is ruin your day, and begin to praise and honor God instead! Maybe sing out loud, or just in silence—however suits you. :-) You're already on the winning side! Sometimes, in the midst of the storm, you must remember this amazing truth.

No matter how the day started, it can be a surprisingly good day!
