Over the TopExemplo
No one needs to tell you there are endless ways you could spend your time. And when things you have to do, like sleeping and eating, get factored in with the stuff you are required to do, like school, practice, rehearsal, or work, your free time is limited. So, if you feel like being generous with your time isn't easy, you're right. Our limited free time makes it super difficult to give away.
No one thing can convince you to be generous with your time. If you decide to spend your time on the things that matter to God, the writer of the book of Proverbs talks about this surprising, counterintuitive thing that happens. Instead of feeling depleted, you feel more full. Instead of feeling like you don't have enough, you have more than you need.
However, this doesn't mean you're supposed to give away all of your time. God wants you to be generous but in a healthy way. You have been designed to be healthy. It is why God set aside a whole day to rest. This is excellent news — it means napping can be spiritual! So, as you start giving your time away, don't give away the time that helps you stay healthy. Keep times set aside for stuff like sleep and rest for yourself.
As you go throughout your day and generously give time to things that matter to God, remember instead of feeling burned out, God will refresh you.

Have you ever seen an action movie where the stunts became more and more outrageous? Each stunt gets more extreme as the movie continues to push the limits of what to expect. What if that same mindset inspired us to live differently in our lives? What if we looked to God for ways to be extreme and do the unexpected in places like generosity?
