WHAT ARE HOME GROUPS?
Whether you call them Home Groups, Small Groups or Bible Studies, meeting together with other like-minded people is so important for your growth and walk with Jesus. We were not made to do life on our own, that is why the church is called “the body” of Christ. He is the head (which is the leader) and the rest of us make up parts of the body, that function as one.
When we meet in groups it allows us to share a meal together, build relationships, encourage one another, help those in need, and most importantly, glorify Jesus by growing in obedience and maturity. In Acts 2:47 it says that when they met regularly and grew together, “the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.” As we become a mature body, we’re able to reflect Jesus and lead more people to Christ. Home Groups are a great opportunity to unite our church and help each other to constantly seek God first in our lives.
