Five Traits of a Courageous LeaderSample

Five Traits of a Courageous Leaders- Part II
The prophet Daniel and his friends, as young men, were commanded by the ruthless King Nebuchadnezzar, of Babylon, to eat meat and drink wine that had been sacrificed to other gods, in direct violation of Jewish commands. Daniel had a decision to make. He chose to stand on principle, and against submitting to other gods. But principles are often tested.
That’s why the next trait of a courageous leader is so critical. Daniel had the trait I call “Being Resolved.”
The English Standard Version for Daniel 1:8 says, “But Daniel resolved that he would not defile himself with the king's food, or with the wine that he drank.”
Daniel needed more than just his principles, and many times so do we. He resolved to stand fast to his beliefs, regardless of consequences.
