GO2020 | ENGAGE: May Week 1 - GOSample

May 9—Barrier: Apathy
Read
Revelation 3:15-16
Reflect
We can take comfort or discomfort in the fact that God knows us and our works. When we are red hot with desire to serve God, he can use us to love our neighbor and share his love. When we are desperately cold he can get our attention and remind us that we need to repent and turn back to him. But when we are lukewarm, like sitting in a warm bath, we are complacent and lazy and not sensitive to respond to his call or correction. Take a quick and honest survey of your spiritual climate: hot, cold or lukewarm? Are you ready to serve? Do you need to repent? Are you in danger of missing God’s best for you?
Engage
Read today’s Scripture passage. Say or write it out in your own words, considering the following questions:
· What does it say about God?
· What does it say about us?
· Is there a promise to trust?
· Is there a command to obey?
· How will I apply this Scripture to my life?
· Who will I show that I care by sharing this truth?
Memorize
Now read this week’s memory verse, Mark 16:15. Spend a few minutes committing it to memory.

Now is the time to join believers from around the globe in the largest movement of prayer, caring and sharing the message of hope beyond fear.
