Behind the Lines: Encouragement for Military Personnel

DAY 2 OF 7

The Way to Victory

Working long military hours, field training, and deployments can make attending worship services difficult. But the place of worship isn’t as important as your heart and the nature in which you worship. If military life prevents you from attending worship services regularly, then you need to be more intentional with fellowship and your worship time. It gives you more reason to make time to study the Bible and pray individually, with friends, or with your family at home.

Commit to worship God in all you do, from the time your eyes open to the time you lie down for bed. This is not a call to live a life of rigorous legalism, by which we base our relationship with Christ solely on our performance, but a call to diligently pursue fellowship with him through his Word and prayer and the way we treat others. Our lives have tremendous potential to reach others for his kingdom. With the right heart, we can demonstrate the love of God to those who may have never experienced his love before, allowing us to lead others to victory. Worship is a powerful weapon in our arsenal. If we are consistent in the worship of the Father, it can be life-altering.

Heavenly Father, cleanse me of all sin, of all wrongdoing, and accept my worship. May my thoughts, words, and deeds bring you glory in all I do today. Amen.
