Behind the Lines: Encouragement for Military PersonnelSample

Invaluable
You are highly valued, not just in the eyes of God but in the eyes of those who decided to recruit you, train you, equip you, and put you in the uniform. After all, God gave everything so that we could have eternal life. But for your military career, have you considered the cost of training you? While the starting pay, benefits, and other variables may not seem like a lot to you at times, it is safe to say it is a tremendous investment to make civilians into military professionals and then to keep them well trained and mission ready. That’s a statement from people who are placing tremendous value on you and your ability to serve our nation.
We cannot put a price tag on life because it is invaluable. We were bought at a high price, the price of the life of Christ, which no person can number. It was the price of his blood shed for our sins. If our focus is not on who he has called us to be, who God said we are in his Word, then we begin to lose sight of this and fail to glorify God. Take care of your body and your spirit by taking time to rest, exercise, and honor God in all you do.
Heavenly Father, let all I do with my body and in my spirit honor and glorify you. Amen.
