Prayers & Promises for First Responders

DAY 3 OF 7

Courage

Courage is contagious. It could be courage that drives you to do something stupid, as many of us did as children, or it could be courage that drives us to change the world. These are two extremes, but the reality is that all it takes is one person who is willing to overcome the opposition to the message of truth and righteousness to crush evil in this world. How are courageous men and women created? Through examples of past generations of heroes who remained undeterred in the face of fear. Heroes know the power of God in them is greater than the evil in this world, and they walk in confidence found in Christ. It’s not a superpower, but it is something we must develop and nurture. There is no place in the kingdom of God for cowards. Only the courageous inherit it.

Heavenly Father, I walk with the power of your spirit, knowing that because of you, I am empowered to be courageous in my endeavors to share your good news with others. Amen.

How does courage empower you to fulfill God’s purpose for your life?

Day 2Day 4

About this Plan

Prayers & Promises for First Responders

As a first responder, you bravely serve the public despite the dangers your profession presents, yet your service doesn’t come without cost. In times of hardship and adversity, you must rely and stand on the foundation of God’s Word. With content from “Prayers & Promises for First Responders” by Adam Davis and Lt. Col. Dave Grossman, these 7 days will help first responders draw closer to God and find strength.
