Parents and Kids Daily Devotional "First Things First"

DAY 29 OF 31

If we received a branded item or got the chance to meet a famous character, we would tell the world. We would post pictures on social media, create a short video, etc.

However, we are reluctant to tell the world about our close relationship with the King of all kings, the Savior of all. We feel ashamed and scared for various reasons. Hmm, that doesn’t make sense, does it? Shouldn’t it be the other way around? We should proudly tell everyone about who our God is.

When Jesus asked Peter who He was, Peter quickly answered that Jesus was the Messiah. Peter did not hesitate. He was not afraid. He boldly expressed his thoughts of who Jesus was. He knew the God whom He worshipped.

Are we still hesitant to share about Jesus to others, even though He has been so good to us and loves us so much? What then can give us the boldness to speak about God?

Devotion for Parents
When we need something, we will come to God without hesitation and pray that He’d extend His hand to help us.

How about the moments when we are supposed to share God’s goodness with other people? Many of us choose to stay silent as if there’s nothing to be said.

What do you think? What should you do?

Devotion for Kids
We like to tell others about our favorite toys, our hobbies, our wins, and other things that are fun for us.

But remember to also share with others about God who is so good to us and loves us so.

Do you know that there are many people out there who have never heard about God’s love and are longing for it? You’ll never know what your testimonies can do. It can bring others to come to know Jesus and to experience His love the way you do.

Family Devotion Time
Create a video or write an article with your family that talks about the goodness of God that you have experienced. Then, post it on your social media.
