God created humans with one purpose, that is to love us and to have a close relationship with us. But sin destroys the purpose. It separates us from God. God can’t love us freely the way He intended to from the beginning.

Sin puts humans in bondage. We may appear free and able to do whatever we want, but actually, we are bound by sin and unable to set ourselves free. No matter how strong we are.

The only Person who can set us free is God Himself. That’s why He sent Jesus to the world, to live as a human but without sin. He took our place on the cross and bore the consequences of all our sins.

That's the only hope that we have to be free from the bondage of sin. That’s exactly what Jesus did for all of us. He came to the earth, died on the cross, and bore all of our sins - the past, present, and future.

When we believe in Him, we are set free from the bondage of sin. We are truly free indeed.

Have you received freedom and put your hope in God? If not, come to Him and receive the gift of salvation that He had prepared for everyone.

Devotion for Parents
Our hope is in Christ alone. He is the only one who can set us free from every bondage of sin. He gives us a new life. He strengthens us day by day.

If you have that hope in you, be thankful and start thinking about the people around you who don’t had that hope.

If you have not received Christ, who sacrificed Himself for your sake, ask yourself what is holding you back from believing and accepting Him to this day?

Devotion for Kids
We may look free, but actually sin will always bind us and make us unable to do great things with God.

So, today, come to God and ask Him to free you from the bondage of sin. He is able and He wants to do it for you. Do you believe in Him?

Family Devotion Time
Discuss with your family what Jesus did thousands of years ago at the end of his human life on earth.

Parents, this is the perfect time to explain about the concept of salvation to your children.

If they have not fully grasped the concept, give them some time.

Get ready for questions that your children may have.
