Parents and Kids Daily Devotional "This Is Living"

DAY 19 OF 30

Lately, we are bombarded with news of the Russian attacks on Ukraine. It was reported that the President of Ukraine declined the offer, given by the USA, to be evacuated. President Zelensky was praised for his courage to continue to fight alongside his army and people to defend his country from the Russian invasion. Regardless of his motive, the Ukrainian President is a role model as he was willing to lay down his life for his country.

Long before this, the Bible tells a story of a Savior who was willing to sacrifice Himself not for a group of people, but for the whole world. The story of this Savior is written clearly – His birth, ministry, His work on the cross, His death and resurrection. He did it all without an ounce of hesitation. He did it for the sake of all who believe in Him, including you and me.

How amazing! Who are we that the great King, the Creator of heaven and earth, was willing to die for us and bear the punishment of our sins? That’s what Jesus did. Today, He asks us to share this story with anyone who might have never heard of Him.

Let’s do our best to share the good News. Through us, may many people come to know the loving Jesus who laid down His life for them.

Devotion for Parents
The more we think about it, the more unworthy we are as humans to be saved. Jesus was never hesitant to give His life for us.

Have you ever given any thought about how great His love is for us? Have you lifted up thanksgiving for all He has done? If you really understand how great a sacrifice Jesus made on the cross, I believe it will change your life and how you live day by day.

Devotion for Kids
How often do you hear the story of Jesus who died and rose again? It is not a fairytale, nor is it a legend. It’s a true story. He did it all so that you and I who believe in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. Unfortunately, many of our friends don’t know about this Good News. Would you like to share about God’s love with your friends?

Family Devotion Time
Pray and give thanks for the salvation that God has given to you, for the sacrifice that He made on the cross.

Then, take Holy Communion led by the head of the family.

About this Plan

Parents and Kids Daily Devotional "This Is Living"

After we accept Jesus as God and Savior, our lives will change and our character will be renewed to become more and more like Him every day. What kind of life should followers of Christ have? What values do we need to hold? During this month we will invite the children to learn about this and teach them the values of truth that they should have in their lives.
