Humans are social beings with different characteristics and traits. These differences are heavily influenced by a number of factors, such as our background, age, social status, education, etc.

These differences affect the way someone responds to a situation or a conversation. This may affect friendships. Close friends drift apart. A team breaks up holding grudges in their hearts.

We, as the anointed generation, should bring a change in situations like these. We ought to bring peace, joy, and calmness to everyone around us. That’s our role. The verse we read today gives us guidance on how to do this - by doing unto others what you would have them do unto you, and vice versa.

Devotion for Parents
Relationships with friends may not always be pleasant. There are processes in life that God wants us to go through. Whatever those processes may be, remember that God wants us to be the light wherever we are. He wants people to know how great His loving kindness is just by looking at our lives. Through us, people will come to know God and glorify His name.

Devotion for Kids
Do to others what you would have them do to you - always remember this! Don’t do the things you don’t want others to do to you. So, be the kind of kids who bring joy and peace wherever you are. Of course, with the anointing and strength from God, and not your own.

Family Devotion Time
Discuss with your family about what you can do if you have made a mistake and hurt someone. How should you, as the anointed generation, fix this situation?
