Parents and Kids Daily Devotional "Look at "UsSample
I have had the opportunity of dining in a restaurant with superb service. There were many waiters on every corner ready to meet my needs. What impressed me the most was their promptness in refilling our drinks. I noticed that none of the customers, including myself, needed to ask for a refill because the waiters made the initiative to refill the glasses without being asked. With such top-notched service, no wonder the restaurant was always crowded with customers.
I am not going to keep talking about the restaurant but let me bring your attention to a glass of water that is never empty. This is similar to the phrase “my cup overflows” at the end of the verse we read above. Oftentimes, we think that if we keep on giving, if we continue doing what God wants us to do, then over time what we have will run out. Like a glass of water that is being refilled continuously, God’s anointing will never run out. The more we use God’s anointing to bless others and glorify God, the more our cup will be filled and will overflow. It will never run out.
So, never stop doing what God wants you to do. The more you do, the more your cup will overflow. The anointing of God will be so great and you will be able to keep on glorifying God with your life.
Devotion for Parents
Have you ever worried that you would be in short supply of what you need if you kept on giving? Let the Word of God strengthen you today. Your cup shall overflow and He will make your life abundant. Keep being faithful.
Devotion for Kids
Isn’t it a strange thought that even though you keep giving, you will not run out? Well yeah, humanly speaking, it is absurd. But to God, it is possible and easy. Why? Because He is the Source of everything. He is in the business of “abundance” and “overflow”. If you don’t want to lack anything, keep walking with God and letting Him “refill” your life with all of the good things He has prepared for you.
Family Devotion Time
Invite your family to sing worship songs to God. Lift up your thanksgiving for His goodness, His presence, and the anointing He has given to you. Pray that God will let you meet people who are in need of His love. Ask God to give you the courage and boldness to testify about His goodness to those people. May those people be able to know God and experience His love, just like you.
