Women of Valor: The Spiritual BattleSample
Day 5: Stand Your Ground
Stand
Notice the repetition of "stand" in Ephesians 6:13. It comes up twice in one sentence. What is the significance of standing your ground? Have you ever heard someone joke, after a difficult experience, "at least I'm still standing?"
Is there a time that you have been able to stand your ground in the spiritual battle?
Consider this spoken word piece, titled “These Bones.”
How do you respond to Monica Harrison's spoken word piece?
Are there parts of your life that seem to hold nothing but evil days, dry bones, and scorched earth? Spaces that seem devoid of life and rest?
This passage also reminds us that, even after we have done "everything," we must still stand firm in our faith. It's not enough to simply put on the armor of God and resist the devil's attacks; we must also remain steadfast in our faith and trust in God, even in the face of adversity.
What would it look like for you to stand strong in faith, flatly refusing to quit, holding fast to God’s promise to bring dead bones back to life?
