King Saul was the first king of Israel and started out as a good king, but he disobeyed God, and God rejected him as king. God chose David to be the next king. David was a faithful king who obeyed God. God even described David as a man after His own heart. From the line of David came the greatest king of all, King Jesus! David was a faithful servant, friend, and king.
