The next section of our prayer time is to pray for others. Our prayer life is not just about God and us, it is about fighting for the needs of others, praying for their salvation and healing.

Pray for the needs of others

The Bible says that Jesus is interceding, petitioning, for us! Prayer is joining in with his intercession for others.

Hebrews 7:25

Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them.

As Christians, we are called to stand alongside each other and fight in prayer together for the salvation of family members, for healing, and for miracles. We need to stop fighting against each other and begin to fight for and with each other.

1 Timothy 2:1

I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people.

We are called to be a light to the world; a church purposed for others. If you don’t have anyone to pray for, ask the Holy Spirit to show you who needs prayer. Allow the Holy Spirit to put someone on your heart and then pray for them. You can bring breakthrough to someone’s life just by spending time in prayer for them.

Pray for those in Leadership – Church, Government and Work

The Bible also teaches us to pray for those in leadership, in government and at work. Praying for those in leadership once again, aligns your heart to a place of humility and respect (1 Timothy 2:1-2).

Prayer: Father, I lift up those who are hurting and in need today. I pray that you will bring salvation to my family and friends that don’t know you. Father, let my eyes be open to those who need me to fight alongside them, let me be bold in prayer for others Lord. As you are interceding for me, I pray that in turn, I can intercede for others.
