Don't Give Up!Sample

Ruth
Ruth was a young woman who lost her husband. Instead of returning to her own people, she chose to go with her widowed mother-in-law to a foreign land and promised to care for her. She loved her deeply, but that did not mean the journey was easy. They walked for over seven days across rugged, steep terrain, and when they finally arrived, they had no inheritance and no clear way to support themselves. Because Ruth was from Moab, she was likely viewed as an outsider and even a threat. On top of that, her mother-in-law was bitter and depressed.
Needing to provide food, Ruth went to gather leftover grain in a field after the harvesters passed through. She was exhausted, hungry, and alone, and the outlook for her life did not seem promising.
Yet Ruth trusted God and found favor with the owner of the field. Not only did they marry, but she gave birth to Obed, the father of Jesse, who was the father of King David. Ruth became part of the lineage of Jesus Himself. How incredible is that?
Don’t Give Up.
Are you in a season of feeling tired or worn out? These three simple words are for you: don’t give up. Scripture is filled with men and women who loved God deeply yet walked through seasons of fatigue and discouragement.
Open your heart to the Lord and tell Him how you feel. He already knows your weariness, and He desires to give you rest. You may be tempted to isolate yourself, but instead, surround yourself with believers who can encourage and support you. Even if it does not look like it right now, the outlook for your life is promising.
The Lord will strengthen you and bring rest to your soul.
About this Plan

Read the stories of seven people in the Bible who could have given up—but didn’t. Each one was called with a purpose and persevered through difficulties and trials. They were ordinary people, just like you and me. God wants you to know that no matter what you are facing, you don’t have to give up. He is using your story for something good.
