I AmSample
Have you ever watched a news story about an amazing rescue? Maybe it was a story of some hikers who were lost in a forest, and a search and rescue team brought them safely home. Maybe it was someone who was lost at sea and the Coast Guard made a daring rescue. In those moments, there's celebration, gratitude, and relief. You walk away with a sense that life is a gift that shouldn't be wasted.
As Christians, we have the greatest rescue story because we have been saved from the lasting impact of our sin. We now have the hope of eternal life, and that means we get to experience an abundant life here and now. This will look different for everyone because God has a unique plan for each of us.
We each have gifts and talents from God to be used for good. There are people for us to serve and steps to be taken in faith. In order to do this, we'll have to ask God to transform us, letting go of selfishness and pride. This is one of the first steps in learning to become more like Christ. Paul writes to the Galatians, reminding them he lives by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
We're invited to live this life of faith out of gratitude for all that Jesus has done for us. The life Jesus calls us to is a chance for us to respond to his generous love.

About this Plan
When Jesus was on earth, there were a few times when he told his followers exactly who he was. For the next four weeks, we'll explore some of these stories to find out how Jesus described himself to others. We'll take a look at what changes when we hear Jesus tell us he is love, he is truth, he is always with us, and how he is our Savior.
