Look around you, because you are called. "Then the Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to work it and keep it."

You have been given a place to function. Become aware of the place. We are at this time and at this place. If you can figure out what the place is and what the place needs - the people, the systems, the nature, everything around you, the brokenness. Something went wrong. Jesus is busy fixing it through His body and He invites you and says to you: "See the need." If you can take this big step to bring together the need that exists and the gift that you have, you have discovered your calling in life and it brings great joy.

Buechner says: "The place God calls you is the place where your deep gladness and the world's deep hunger meet." That is the place you are called to. It's not just about what I love and what I can do, but it's also about what the need is and being able to bring them together.

And you cannot see the need around you if you only look at yourself. Look around you. We go through life and we want to be blessed. Everywhere we go, people ask: "See me, acknowledge me, give to me." And it's good to start like that in life, but you have to go further with your life. If you want to become YOU, if you want to live life to the fullest, then you have to go beyond yourself and become someone who not only receives but also gives. Sometimes we see the need around us, but we don't allow ourselves to feel it. Sometimes we are too afraid of being overwhelmed. If you surrender to the feeling, then another person's suffering becomes real to you.
