Day 10: Built to SucSeed:
Welcome to the final day of the Built to SucSeed Plan, day 10! On our last day, we’re discussing how your obedience to God’s laws is the key to your success!
Disobedience to spiritual laws comes with inherent consequences, a truth encapsulated in the well-known adage: “The wages of sin is death.” When Adam and Eve were instructed not to eat from the forbidden tree, they were warned that the day they partook of its fruit, death would surely follow. It wasn’t a matter of God arbitrarily deciding to end their lives; rather, the consequence was intrinsic to breaking the law.
It’s a fundamental principle that leaves judgment in our hands, for when we transgress a spiritual law, we’re already aware of the impending punishment. The law itself dictates the outcome, making it a matter of choice rather than divine imposition.
Everything on the earth is in relationship with something their life depends on. Fish have a relationship with water and need water to stay alive. Trees have a relationship with water. They have to draw from water to survive. We are supposed to be like trees, suggesting an undiscovered relationship between man and water.
We must uphold the law that governs our success. When creation is obedient to the laws and stays in relationship with God, success will happen without anyone’s help. Going back to the tree, as long as it stays in relationship with the soil, the law says it will continue to grow naturally and physically. It will FUNCTION at its highest level and capacity, and no one will have to go back and check on it.
So you, just like the tree, have to be willing to let the old leaves go to grow new ones designed for the new season. You can’t keep all the same routines, relationships, habits, and mindsets, nor can you keep all the same friends. You don’t have to tell a tree when to change its colors. In the same way, if you are living for God, you must know that change is inevitable.
Trees never get their seasons mixed up. They maintain who they are without changing. Finally, they never stop producing OXYGEN. Do you know why trees can do all of this? It is because they maintain their relationship with the source of their life.
Sadly, humans are the only creatures who walk away from what they need. Why die because of a broken relationship with God? It’s not necessary—and almost impossible—if you obey the law of your relationship. In JESUS, you have everything you need to SUCSEED!
According to Jeremiah 1:4-5 (NIV), “The word of the Lord came to me, saying “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart, I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”
Your purpose is to uproot anything that comes against your success. Then you are to build and plant more trees just like you.
Thank you so much for reading the Built to SucSeed plan. I pray that you've been empowered over the past ten days and feel fully equipped to remain rooted in His righteousness, seek nourishment from the Vine, and grow into a fruitful tree ripe for use toward His greater purpose!
