Built to SucSeed

DAY 3 OF 10

Day 3: What’s in a Seed:
You’ve made it to day 3! Today, we are going to talk about what is in a seed that makes it so precious and valuable.

Just as all trees originate from seed, so too does the correlation between fruit seeds and mankind hold great significance in the biblical narrative.

Seeds possess a profound wisdom, reflecting the intricate design of creation itself. In the same way, humanity, formed in the image of God, carries within it the potential for growth, purpose, and bearing fruit. In the book of Genesis, God commanded the earth to bring forth vegetation, each with the ability to reproduce after its own kind. This divine order speaks to the remarkable nature of seeds, which contain the blueprint for future life. Similarly, God breathed life into Adam, infusing him with His own image and likeness. Thus, every human being possesses a seed of divinity within him, a potential waiting to be realized.

Not surprisingly, potential is only found in fruit. God placed the seed of the tree in the fruit. A fruit tree that does not produce fruit will never produce more trees. A fruitless fruit tree can look strong, tall, and full of leaves, but it has no legacy because it failed to reproduce the seed it received to create itself.

Galatians 5:22-23 states, “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.” These fruits exemplify the transformative power of God’s presence within us, shaping our character and influencing our interactions with others.

God is very clear in His Word that it is our job to plant the seed, but His job is to water it. Some of us are not as fruitful as we desire because we are too busy trying to make it happen ourselves. You can’t build a name for yourself, nor can you make yourself famous. It is God that says, “I will make your name great.” We just have to give Him the opportunity to change us, no matter the sacrifice.

When God can change the way you see, then you will begin to see what is in you. For when the Almighty succeeds in altering the lens through which you view life, an extraordinary revelation awaits you.

And the revelation is this: You are a seed!

You were built to succeed and house everything you were meant to become.
