God’s Little Astronomer: A 5-Day Reading Plan for Kids

DAY 4 OF 5

Day 4: Enjoy Earth

Let’s zoom in on home—our planet Earth! Swirling clouds above oceans, mountains, jungles, deserts, and plains. There’s so much to explore!

Little astronomer, Earth is filled with beauty! From your backyard to traveling to the mountains, oceans, deserts, jungles, and plains, there’s so much to see and do! Did you know planet Earth has the right amount of oxygen for you to breathe and the proper temperatures for you to live? No other planet in our solar system suits life for people, animals, and plants this perfectly! God gives you everything you need to survive. He watches over you. So get outside and enjoy the Earth God made for you.

Stand in Awe:

There are seven continents on Earth, from the largest to the smallest: Asia, Africa, North America, South America, Antarctica, Europe, and Australia. Mount Everest in Asia is the highest mountain on Earth. The biggest jungle is the Amazon rainforest in South America. The largest desert is the polar continent of Antarctica.

Discuss:

Where have you traveled on Earth? Where would you like to travel?

Pray:

Thank You, God, for creating this Earth for me to live in. Thank You for watching over me as I explore Your world. Amen.
