Celebrating Your BaptismSample

In today's reading, we will see a fantastic end to the ministry of Jesus. Peter was one of the first disciples chosen, and a miraculous catch showed Him the power of Christ. After Jesus’ death and resurrection, Peter went back to fishing. I’m sure he felt horrible for his denial of Jesus and thought, “There’s no way I can go back now.”
Instead, Jesus reenacted the miraculous catch miracle and then restored Peter. If you remember, Peter denied Jesus three times in chapter 19. Instead, Jesus, “the resurrection and the life,” brought Peter back from spiritual death. Peter denied Jesus three times, so Jesus asked Peter to be a shepherd to His flock three times. He is putting Peter back to work.
You may have messed up since your baptism and went back to your life of sin. Jesus wants to restore you and put you back to work. There is no sin too great for Him to forgive. What is holding you back from committing every aspect of your life to Jesus?
