God's Redemption Story (The Gospels)Sample

Life & Teachings of Jesus - Day 20
Jesus called himself the Good Shepherd because shepherds were common and the image was easy for the people to understand. Sheep were valuable property, so if Jesus was the shepherd of all mankind, he was very wealthy.
Have you ever considered that idea? Jesus considers himself wealthy because of you. He didn’t die a grizzly, painful death on a cross because he had nothing else going on that weekend. He willingly sacrificed himself so that he could hold onto you. What’s more, he did it so you could have a full, healthy life resting in the arms of the Father.
Take a moment to let that sink in, and then thank Jesus for his great love.
